New year, new decade. Year 29 had hands 😂 but God has been and will continue to carry me through. If this past year taught me anything, it’s that life is unpredictable but God is never changing. He’s been faithful and kind during my darkest storms, unexpected diagnoses, mobility restraints, and more. I’ve carried burdens I never imagined for myself, but I didn’t carry them alone. The best is yet to come. So thankful for another year of life ✨

In December, I unexpectedly got extremely sick. My body essentially shut down. I lost almost all of my independence. I was unable to walk, stand, sit up, feed myself, bathe myself, etc. I spent 7 days in the hospital, and 10 days in a rehabilitation hospital. I had to gain the strength and ability to walk again. Thankfully I’m doing much better now, and still making my way towards complete healing and restoration. I thank Jesus for keeping me, and continuing to heal my body.

The mental load of not having your full independence and mobility, can feel crushing. But I’m so grateful for my incredible community, that has been by my side, and showered me with so much love and care, since day one. For my parents, and family, taking care of our babies and our home when I was away. For my best friends, anointing and praying over our house. For my church family, showering us meals, gifts, love, and so much prayer support, and visits. For my gym family, rallying together and helping us tremendously. For every person who has just come and sat with me, their presence has meant so much.

For my amazing husband who hasn’t left my side. Not even for a moment. Who hasn’t complained once, or ever made me feel like a burden. He’s taking such amazing care of me and our kids. He’s been my hands and feet. He’s living out our vows “in sickness and in health”, in real time. I’m so thankful.

Going from a creative entrepreneur/SAHM, to resting most of the day, has been a crazy transition. But my husband has carried it with so much grace. I’m thankful to the Lord for keeping me, through every up and down. And that my condition wasn’t the worst it could have been. I’ll be back soon, better than ever. 💓
